What's the process for setting a portrait session?
Every portrait session begins with a consultation where I spend time getting to know you and the individuals that will be photographed; we talk about what kind of portrait you would like and we brainstorm on ideas for your session. Every session is uniquely different and I want to ensure that I design out what you would like to portray with your images. So, the first step is to schedule your consultation, which you can do by contacting us.
Are there time limits on a photo session?
Unlike most photographers, I do not charge by the hour nor do I put a time constraint on my sessions. I shoot until we get a good shot(s). I do not limit outfit changes either; saying that, it needs to be reasonable for the type of shoot we are doing. All of that is usually discussed and planned out beforehand during the initial consultation. **Seasonal sessions and mini sessions are usually 20 to 30 minutes unless otherwise specified**
How much do your photo packages cost?
Just like every clients need and session is unique so are our packages. A deposit of $50 is required in order to book a Regular Portrait Session, $100 for a Large Group Portrait Session, $50 for a Professional Headshot Session and a $25 deposit for Mini Sessions. (The only exception to this is if there is a special needs individual in any of the sessions I am working with the "non-refundable" part of the session deposit does not apply). After proofs are viewed I work with the client to create their own custom package. I like to give my clients the ability to purchase what they want or need with their portraits.
Are you only in Dallas or do you travel?
The majority of my photography is done in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area. I do destination sessions about once a year. I usually send out that information about 6 months prior. Sessions are limited and they fill up pretty quick. I have done destination sessions from the beaches on the Gulf Coast to senior portraits at Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida.
How long will it take for proofs to be available?
Every session is uniquely different, however, you can expect it taking 2 to 3 weeks for proofs to be available or sooner. From then, final touch-ups and modifications are made and portraits can be ordered. All portrait packages must be paid in full before the order is placed.
Portraits take anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks depending on size, type, etc.
Can I make special requests?
Yes, absolutely! I like to give my clients the ability to give as much creative input as they wish for the overall concept of the session and final product.
